Why Romana Clef?
Roman à Clef is a literary term, meaning 'novel with a key.' Seemed appropriate for a pseudonym. Romana is also the nickname of a very cool character from the long-running BBC SF series Doctor Who: Romanadvoratrelundar. Don't even try to pronounce it. She's a Time Lord, has thirteen lives, and she's fun, strong, witty, and adventurous.
